The Awareness & Unity Walk is our most powerful day of the year. It is more than just a walk; it is a declaration of presence and a celebration of the vibrant neurodiverse families that make up the heart of Pittsburgh. We gather to break the stigma, demand better resources, and show our children that an entire city stands behind them.
In urban and minority communities, autism is often diagnosed later, and resources are harder to access. We walk to shine a light on these disparities and to build a "Unity" that ensures no family has to navigate this journey in the shadows. This event brings together families, service providers, and local leaders to foster a culture of true inclusion.
This event thrives on community participation. Whether you want to lead a team, volunteer your time, or sponsor a water station, there is a place for you here.
